4 Things That Help the Itchy Feeling That Comes With Morgellons Disease

For many of us nighttime is when our Morgellons disease seems to flare up the most. That awful itchy, skin crawling feeling at night can result in little to no sleep. If you have not already begun the No More Morgellons Program, then you are probably in full blown freak out mode while you simply try to get a good night’s rest.

Here are four things that can help you with the itching until you begin the No More Morgellons Program and learn how to treat the underlying cause of your Morgellons disease. As helpful as these tips are they are not an effective treatment or cure for your Morgellons disease. However, they can make a substantial difference in the quality of your life.  Due to how different everyone’s body is, what may work for one person might not work for another.

1. Scotch Tape

This was one of my favorite methods and works extremely well. There is something about sealing the area off from air that takes a lot of the itch away. This is most helpful with the smaller and itchier areas since you will need to cover the area with tape. You can keep the tape on the area overnight while you try to sleep through the night. Here is what you need to do.

Locate the smaller itchier spot on your body and place a strip of Scotch tape over it. That’s it! I also use this method on mosquito bites to this day.

Be careful some of you may have an allergy to the adhesive chemicals in the tape. To ensure that you won’t have a reaction I suggest you test out a small area on your body with a little tape to make sure you won’t have this problem.

2. Swimming in a Pool With Chlorine

This is for when your whole body is itching, and you can’t take much more. Go swimming! Chlorine is a disinfectant, it’s basically a diluted form of bleach. It can also be helpful for some other skin conditions like acne, psoriasis, and eczema.

Lots of time in the pool can also dry your skin out. But sometimes you just need to stop the itch! And this will do the trick. Not to mention it’s easy. Although it will be temporary since it won’t take care of the underlying cause of your Morgellons disease. Thankfully it’s simple, just find a chlorinated pool and jump in!

3. Antifungal Powders

Antifungal powders are used to kill fungus and to help prevent future growth of fungus. They can be used on various skin conditions such as ringworm, athlete’s foot, jock itch, and candidiasis.

How do you apply it?

  • Wash the area where you will be putting the powder on
  • Now dry the area and apply a light dusting of powder on the itchy area

Remember this is only for external use.  And it’s not a cure but it will help some with the itching.

4. Extra-Virgin Olive Oil and Cold-Pressed Coconut Oil

What exactly is extra-virgin olive oil and coconut oil?

EVOO and coconut oil are liquid fat that’s obtained from olives and coconuts. And one of the reasons it’s so good for your skin is due to its high omega fatty acid content.

Some of you may be doing more harm than good by using lotions and creams with too many synthetic ingredients. If you aren’t already aware of this, I suggest you read here. EVOO and coconut oil have antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that can help with the itching. They also have antimicrobial properties.

To use EVOO or coconut oil on your skin here’s what I suggest you do.

Take a shower, dry off, and then gently rub a generous amount of oil into your skin. You may want to spend a little extra time without your clothes on so that your clothing doesn’t just absorb the oil. Additionally, EVOO and coconut oil can promote healing and soothe irritated skin.

One downside to these oils is they can block pores and cause pimples. But if you are dealing with Morgellons disease then a few blemishes are the least of your worries.

Look, in all honesty these tips will help you while you are battling Morgellons disease symptoms. Unfortunately, they aren’t going to be enough to heal you. Luckily, once you begin using the No More Morgellons Program you really won’t have any need for these methods.
